Spiritual Life at GCA
At Grace Covenant Academy, spiritual formation isn’t a class period or a weekly event—it is the heartbeat of everything we do. When families join GCA, they become part of a community that intentionally walks with students as they grow in their understanding of Scripture, discover who God created them to be, and learn how to live out their faith with confidence.
This is what spiritual development looks like inside the walls of GCA.

What We Believe
GCA is firmly rooted in a biblical, Christ-centered worldview.
Our statement of faith shapes our teaching, our relationships, and our mission as a school community.
CHAPEL
Elementary Chapel
For our younger students, Thursday chapel is one of the highlights of the week.
Using The Gospel Project, students walk through the entire story of the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—seeing how every part points to Jesus. Worship is joyful, interactive, and age-appropriate, helping students learn to praise God with their whole heart.
After chapel, classes continue the conversation, reinforcing the same Bible story across every grade.
Upper School Chapel
Monday mornings are a time set apart for our secondary students. They gather to worship, sing, and hear Scripture taught by local pastors who invest in their spiritual growth.
After chapel, students join their J15 Groups, small discipleship circles divided by boys and girls and led by a mentor teacher for the full year. These groups give students space to:
- Open Scripture and learn together
- Talk honestly about life, faith, and real challenges
- Discover what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday world
- Build meaningful relationships with peers and a trusted adult
For many students, J15 becomes a highlight of the week—a safe, steady place where faith deepens and becomes personal.
Bible in the Classroom
K-5 Bible Curriculum
In Lower School, students study Scripture chronologically using The Gospel Project curriculum. Because every class studies the same passage each week, spiritual learning becomes a family journey, not just a classroom topic.
6-12 Bible Curriculum
Our secondary Bible program is carefully crafted to help students think deeply, ask hard questions, and shape a resilient faith.
Faith in Every Subject
Spiritual formation is not confined to Bible class.
Every teacher at GCA receives training each year on how to weave faith into their subjects.
We carefully select curriculum that aligns with a biblical worldview, helping students see God’s truth in every subject and every part of creation.
A School Where Faith Feels Alive
Parents often tell us that when they walk through the halls of GCA, they feel something different.
Prayer is normal.
Worship is genuine.
Students learn to love God’s Word.
Teachers point students to Christ in small, everyday moments.
Community forms naturally.
This is our heart for spiritual development:
to shepherd students toward Jesus and help them walk closely with Him for the rest of their lives.
Come join us for a chapel morning or take a tour—and experience what God is doing in the lives of our students.
