School Events/Traditions
Our school year is filled with joyful moments, shared experiences, and traditions that students look forward to long after the day is over. Here are a couple snapshots of some of the fun events we host year round to build a vibrant community at GCA:
At GCA, we believe the best memories are the ones we share.
These events remind our students that school is a place to belong, grow, and celebrate together.
Family Ninja Challenge
This event is one of the most meaningful ways we bring our parents, students, and staff together. Families encourage each other through challenges taking on an obstacle course race, and share a day that reminds everyone that GCA is more than a school, it’s a community that shows up for one another.
After running the course course families gather to eat, talk, and play at teh Family Picnic including carnival games, cake walks, popcorn, cotton candy, bounce houses, and so much more! It’s a day that strengthens relationships and roots families more deeply into the life of our school.
Fine Arts Nights
These evenings highlight one of the strongest parts of GCA culture: we support our students by filling the room. When families, teachers, and classmates cheer on our performers, it sends a powerful message, every student’s gifts matter here.
Fine Arts Nights build unity across grades and create shared moments of pride that bring our community closer together
End-of-Year Ice Skating Celebration
This joyful end-of-year gathering creates connection across our entire K–12 community. Older students help younger ones, teachers join in the fun, and families get to see students of all ages celebrating side by side.
It’s a tradition that reinforces belonging and reminds students they are part of something bigger than their own grade level.
Spirit Weeks & Homecoming Week
These weeks give students the chance to express creativity, cheer each other on, and take pride in being part of GCA. Friendly competitions and themed days spark conversations across grades and help new students feel included.
Spirit Weeks strengthen our culture by bringing everyone into the fun, students, teachers, and families alike.
Student Dances
Our high school dances offer students more than a chance to dress up, they give them safe, joyful spaces to bond, celebrate milestones, and form friendships that last. These events help students feel connected, supported, and proud of their school community.
Pep Rallies & Game Days
Pep rallies and game days highlight the heart of GCA community: students celebrating students. Whether cheering for teammates, supporting friends in the stands, or participating in school-wide spirit moments, these events build camaraderie and shared pride.
They help students see themselves as part of a united school family, one that rallies together on and off the field.
A School Year Full of Moments That Matter
These traditions aren’t just events, they’re shared experiences that shape student life at GCA.
Come join us for a chapel morning or take a tour—and experience what God is doing in the lives of our students.
